My BIGGEST Fear!!! OH MY GOSH...

Conn. Mom Breaks Record for Biggest Baby
Sep 14 2:31 PM US/Eastern

Oh baby! Marie Michel's fifth child was one for the record books. Michel gave birth to a 14-pound, 13-ounce boy Tuesday at William W. Backus Hospital.

Backus officials said the newborn _ Stephon Hendrix Louis-Jean _ broke the 18-year record for the biggest baby ever born at the hospital by 1 pound, 13 ounces. He was nearly 23 inches long.

"He's built like a linebacker," said Dr. David Kalla, who delivered the baby by Caesarean section.
After nine months of carrying Stephon, 36-year-old Michel said she was more tired and happy to have given birth than all the attention her baby was receiving.

Waiting. . . Waiting . . . Waiting . . . Waiting . . .

With 11 days to go (according to the original due date, September 21st) - I am trying to be 'patiently waiting'. But I will tell you something what- I am HUGE! She has got be weigh, at least, 15 pounds by now. The hope of a small head is out the window for me. This little girl has my head, which means it will be the size of a bowling ball. Hopefully, she will not have all of the hair I have - can you imagine the tangles? She is going to be at least two feet tall and if we have to wait anymore, I am pretty sure she will come out ready to talk.

My feet now look like elephant feet. I guess I have been lucky, since my feet waited until the 38th week to swell, but man what a shock that has been. To give you kind of any idea of what it feels like - try laying down a bunch of the big, gooey marshmallows on the floor and walking on them. That is the closest I can think of to tell you how it feels. Really weird.

She has the hiccups everyday. Which cannot possibly be good for her. It feels on our end like she is really shaking in there. What happens if the baby shakes herself?

I have been having some very weird dreams - which I am told is pretty normal, but talking monkeys? Of course there is the VERY scary possibility that she will be a HE. Have you seen the nursery?

My brain has developed some serious swiss cheese like holes. If I do not write things down right away I WILL forget. Some times even writing it down does not help. It is really annoying when I am driving. Lets just say that I have put MANY extra and unnecessary miles on my car. Poor car.

I think the cat knows what is going on - she is decidedly anxious.

But you know what??? I AM SO EXCITED. We talk to her everyday. Mostly I try to tell her how cool the world is out here and that she should come and check it out. So far though, I don't know how well she listens. Ryan keeps telling me to get used to it, but I am not giving up.

On Friday the doctors office did a sonogram to check her head position and she is facing the right way for the moment. What struck me though was the shock of seeing a full sized baby in my tummy. It was cool, weird and exciting all at the same time. Next week we go in for another ultrasound, just to see if they can determine size and weight. It should be so COOL!

I just can't wait! Have I told you all the I am SO EXCITED?
