More Kareoke!

Now Meredith has taken over. She is in charge of the microphone.

The night of Mama's surprise birthday party SOME of us sang Kareoke. However, Meredith did not come close to the equipment. The next morning though, we tried it again and she was all over it.

Mama's Surprise Party

For Mama's birthday, Meredith and Dada got together and planned a surprise party. I did not have a clue - they were great surprise planners. We all got dressed up and looked pretty good if you ask me.

Ruth's Chris was a great place for dinner and after we went over to Mimi and Papa's house for cake and Kareoke. Yep, Kareoke. See next entry for more.

Meredith's first swimming lesson.

Meredith started taking swimming classes at UNF at the beginning of May. She is doing very well. We are working on kicking, paddling, floating and blowing bubbles.

She wore an Itsy-Bitsy-Teeny-Weeny-Yellow-Polka-Dot Bikini.

Grocery Shopping!

Meredith has chores. She cleans up her bath toys. Puts her dirty clothes in her hamper. Helps to put her toys aways. And she is starting on the grocery shopping . . . trainign her to take over as soon as she can drive - that's the plan.

It's potty time!

Meredith has a new chair. It will evetually be for potty training, right now it is for carrying and play acting.

The chair plays a triumphant song as the equivalent of flushing, which Meredith loves. Thankfully, she is not scared of it - we can go from there.

I am a big kid now. . .

There is a commercial and it has a tune and it says, "I'm a big kid now." I don't know what the commercial is about or what it is for. But every time I see these pictures those words keep coming to me and repeating over and over again in my head- and of course I cry a little.

I think the whole time Meredith was thinking "Clean Up, Clean Up . . . " that just seemed to be her approach to the event.

Meredith new spot. . .

Meredith as found a new and favorite spot to sit. The first time it was accidental, but now she likes to sit there is the afternoons, after her nap, and eat her snack. Yum.

P.S. Her hair is also getting longer :).

Meredith has grown up SOO much . . .

Over the past month we have come to feel more and more like Meredith has become much more of a little girl. She is just not a baby anymore. Here is a perfect example, Meredith eating at the dinner table with her Mommy and Daddy like a big girl.

Has it really been two months since the last time I updated this blog? I would like to say that it is not true, but the proof is right there on the last blog. Those sneaky date stamps. Well, alot has happened since then - so here we go...

Since February 26th, Meredith has taken her first ride on an airplane. She went all the way to Puerto Rico and back. Met tons of family members on her MaMas side and had a great time. Her particular favorite part of the airplane ride was the landing. When we first landed in Puerto Rico, after the plane came to a complete stop she very clearly said (with sign language) that she wanted "MORE landing". It was great.

She had an opportunity to visit and play in the beach that her Mommy grew up in . . . and maybe I am getting sentimental but it brought a tear to my eye.
